About the Festival
Every June, Városliget City Park transforms into a living garden of extraordinary scale. The Budapest Flower Festival brings together growers, artists, and nature-lovers from across Hungary and Europe for ten days of colour, fragrance, and community. Whether you come for the rare botanical displays, the family workshops, or simply an afternoon stroll among thousands of blossoms, the festival offers an experience unlike any other in Central Europe.
Now in its eighth edition, the festival has welcomed over half a million visitors since its founding, making it one of Budapest's most beloved summer traditions.
What to Expect
Over 200 exhibitors from across Europe showcase rare orchids, tulips, roses, and native Hungarian wildflowers across grand pavilions.
Daily hands-on workshops: wreath-making, ikebana, pressed-flower art, and perfume blending led by master florists and herbalists.
Open-air concerts every evening from local folk bands to classical quartets, with the park illuminated in thousands of coloured lights.
Browse stalls of handmade botanical ceramics, natural skincare, dried-flower jewellery, and fresh seasonal produce from Hungarian growers.

Venue
Budapest's beloved City Park spreads across 302 acres in the 14th district, just a short walk from Heroes' Square. It is home to Vajdahunyad Castle, the Széchenyi Baths, and some of the finest old-growth trees in the city.
During the festival, the park's main promenades and event lawns are transformed with floral installations, tented pavilions, and outdoor stages.
